Would it be right to say that a happy person is also generally a healthier person? I'd like to think that way. After all, a positive attitude contributes to overall health and well-being. Personally, I find that simply thinking about the things that make me happy is enough to bring out that smile, to lift up my spirits and feel blessed. I guess, you'll agree with that.
- Talking with my best friend over a nice cup of coffee
- Spending time with my nephews, either talking or playing
- Shopping with my mom...bonding time!
- Curling up with a good book on a relaxing afternoon
- Jogging or simply walking along the beach and breathing in the fresh air
- Watching the sun rise or set
- Relaxing for 4 hours at Ace Water Spa
- Learning Tai ji routines with my wonderful classmates
- Being able to console someone who's going through some difficulties
- Organizing my otherwise cluttered space (in the office and at home)
- Meal time chit chats with my office mates (breakfast, lunch, and merienda)
- Indulging in Italian cuisine once in a while (easy on the carbs, dear)
- Exercising (seriously, it makes me feel good so that makes me happy)
- Playing the guitar while someone else does the singing (I'm not much of a singer)
- Listening to my favorite music
- Cracking a joke and having people dumbfounded for a few seconds (processing what I just said) before they break into a fit of laughter
- Getting up late on a Sunday morning.
- Doing a random act of kindness to a stranger like assisting an old lady
- Achieving my weight goal
- Losing an inch in the waist circumference (more! more! lol!)
- Writing and getting wonderful comments from fellow bloggers
These are but some of the things that make my heart all giddy and happy. I'm afraid I'll never see the end of this list and I could go on and on and on...
This is the first time I have ever participated in a meme. I never realized that it could be this cool and that's another reason to be happy, right? If you'd like to join in the fun, head over to BC Bloggers and get to interact with wonderful people like Sanna.

ReplyDeleteI agree. Sometimes even just the thoughts of our happiness is enough. Think happy thoughts.. and fly. :)
ReplyDeleteI certainly agree with you that a positive attitude contributes to overall health and well-being. I found three things in your list that make me also happy: (1) relaxing for 4 hours at ace water spa, (2) writing and getting more comments from fellow bloggers and (3) losing an inch in the waist circumference! Even half an inch would be a milestone for me, hihihi.
ReplyDeleteLet's follow each other? Take care :D

ReplyDeleteAnd I wish I could teach Tai ji :-)
ReplyDeleteThe cracking a joke is priceless, Aileen! I couldn't agree more with you. I wish this happens often with me. I'm just at home 24/7. But now that my eldest is growing up and not a baby anymore, I'll expect more jokes in the house. haha!
ReplyDeleteWow, you have a very sophisticated but interesting life. I'd like to do some of your interests: guitar playing (I suck at any instrument), tai ji (same as tai-chi?), Italian food tasting (I'll try to appreciate more Italian flavor cuz I thought the food is all sour and herbal), and water spa.
ReplyDeletewhew, that was a long list!
ReplyDeletei'm interested of tai ji, i heard it's healthful
Hmmm...loving all the things that you make you happy Sis! These are all simple things that give us pleasure each day. There might be some great good reasons to be happy about but the simple ones are always the best! What is Tai Ji dear? Sounds interesting? I'm actually thinking of doing yoga (lol).
