It's a long weekend we're going to have, starting today. I'm going home to the province this afternoon, after work, to be with my mom and the adorable nephews. Ahhh three days ahead just staying at home, no work to do...Woohoo! And how tempting to do this for the next three days...

...except of course that we don't have a hammock in the front yard (maybe I should get one). Besides, my mom is a busy lady, even when she's just at home most times. She's already up and about before six in the morning, already doing chores. So, I cannot afford to be just lying around or hanging around like a sloth.
Long weekends, to me is an opportunity to rest and recharge. It's a much needed respite from work duties and the stress of the work routines. And to really get away from it all, no computers and internet for me as well. So, I will officially sign off this afternoon. It's our bonding moment so I try to do away with distractions, and the internet is like a black hole where I could get suck in for hours hehehe.
I'm thinking what I'll do with the kids. I'll probably try to get them to exercise or jog with me. I'll attempt again to teach them some basic moves in Tai ji. Oftentimes though, they just find it funny. They start giggling or goofing off before finally leaving auntie all to herself to finish the routine. I guess Tai ji is boring for kids. They want an action-packed kind of martial arts. Anyway, whatever we do, am sure we'll simply have fun. With a three-year old toddler around, life is never boring. It's actually kind of stressful sometimes to run after that little imp...but it's the kind of stress I like, specially when he laughs. I can't help smiling and laughing along with him.
So, long weekend......here I come!
