31 Days |
Whew!
We've finally come to the end of the series, but definitely not the end of the journey. Hardly. In fact, to many of us, it's just the kick off. The habit of which is a lifetime commitment, not a 31 Day Challenge that you forgo after a month. This challenge is more than just a writing challenge, by the way. It is a commitment to make life changing steps that hopefully will result in a positive transformation that will become a part of our lifestyle. I commend The Nester for this very challenging and brilliant idea.
The 31 Steps to Fit and Strong is my way of encouraging each one of you to take an active lifestyle with the goal of being fitter and stronger, and therefore becoming a healthier you, no matter what fitness level you are in. We all start somewhere, so why not do it the manageable way? That is why the exercises chosen here can be done mostly at the comfort of our homes or whatever space we are comfortable with. Add a little creativity for the workout to make it a fun task, not a chore that you always have to drag yourself to do.
Fitness and good health is a gift, first to ourselves, then to the people who matter to us. It's something we owe to ourselves. It is our personal business and responsibility.
Personally, I strive for a healthier me to be able to live to my optimum lifespan. That way, I can do my ultimate purpose in life to the best of my capabilities and strength. It sure makes the task easier when I have the strength and stamina to achieve that.
This is Day 31 of the series. I hope somehow, I have given you something to think about and consider, and hopefully something to spur you to action. The only thing left is for you to make a choice and a commitment to yourself.
Strength of body....
Strength of mind...
Strength of the will...
All for a Higher Purpose...
I like your thoughts of striving for a healthier you and I like your dedication too. We are sure that you will live to your optimum life span and will have the best one. God bless!
ReplyDeleteThank you, sis!
ReplyDeleteI too have been trying to be more healthy.. last week I started on a detox diet and am actively reducing the meats/carbs in my diet and up the exercise.. hopefully I will get to my target weight by December.
ReplyDeleteHi, Aileen. You should compile what you have written into free ebook for your readers. (Ahem, a self-serving suggestion but a good idea, donchathink? hehe)

ReplyDeleteThanks for writing this series. It's just what I need right now.
ReplyDeletethanks for sharing this 31-day challenge. I got tons of ideas.
ReplyDeleteIt's a great idea sis. In fact, several 31 Dayers do that and give out the ebook free for downloading. My problem is that I've put in a lot of videos in the exercises. I don't know how you get that to the ebook format hehehe. However, I'm retaining the 31 Day logo on the right side bar so people coming in here don't have to scavenge through the archives to get to that. :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you will. Just stay on your plan and always remember your goals
ReplyDeleteInspire people...that's actually one of the reasons why I started this blog. I hope I am somehow rubbing something of good value.
ReplyDeleteI hope it helps somehow. :-)

ReplyDeleteSending prayers and blessings your way!
Elizabeth
Thanks Eliz. We're from the northern part of the country, a bit far away from the path of Haiyan. But just barely a month ago, our province also suffered from a Category 3 typhoon and it took almost a month to restore electricity. That was just a few days before the earthquake in the southern part hit... calamity after calamity...but we're still standing up...and thanks for the prayers.
ReplyDeleteBlessings to you too.
Thanks for the update. I'm sorry to hear about the one that hit your area too. So much of this in our world lately... so sad.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Elizabeth
Shoot! I'd like to see and maybe even join this 31-day challenge of yours. Looking forward to it! :)
